hi jungs und mädels...
mein kumpel möchte sich ne corvette 72 bj(targa lippenstift

) zulegen und ich sollte mal die vin checken ob da was dran is oder war.
meine fragen kann man das überhaubt bei so nem alten baujahr noch nachverfolgen????
danke schon mal im vorraus der emil....

bitte dringends das teil steht in köln wenn alles i.o wäre würde sie heut noch geholt werden....nur nicht ohne carfax.....thx

Why no reports for cars manufactured before 1981?

In 1981, the 17-character Vehicle Identification Number ("VIN") became the industry standard format for auto manufacturers to distinguish individual vehicles. CARFAX uses the VIN to generate reports from the vehicle history database.

Note: There are limited sources of readily available pre-1981 vehicle history information. You may try to contact vehicle-specific clubs or groups focused on older vehicles, but CARFAX has not found any source with comprehensive data on older cars. In most cases the records simply no longer exist or are on paper or microfiche in a storage closets.
