On "C" codes, the first two digits are the fault code. The last two digits are the number of key cycles that have taken place since the fault took place. A C-23 53 code indicates that 53 key cycles ago, the headlamp switch input circuit was open.
To obtain C-codes perform a Gauge Cluster Check: hold trip and turn key to run. Gauge lights will turn on to verify function, sweep gauges will move through sequence to very function, codes will display in ODO.
